NOTES:
Where in the world did January go? It seems impossible we are in February,
but we are. A quick thank you to all who attended the January Annual meeting – wow! It
was great to have such a wonderful group to start this important new year.
I want to remind you to let Delores know as soon as possible of any subject you really want to know more about this
year. She is deep in to getting programs for the whole year and we want you to have everything you need
to go in to 2012 educated and knowledgeable about all of the issues, especially those that will directly
affect us all.
You DO know Voter ID has passed the Texas Senate.
Voter integrity is one issue which was one of TFRW’s main focus issues and mine as well. I
am delighted.
Delores and I attended a Leadership meeting in
Ft. Worth on Saturday, January 29. It
was a good meeting, especially with insight about the Texas Legislature and how we can be pro-active. You
will be hearing more about this in the next few weeks. We also met Congresswoman Kay Granger, the luncheon
speaker. Very dynamic and very much involved through her committees with Egypt and what is happening there
and abroad.

February
21st will be our next regular monthly meeting.
Lunch at Luby’s
begins at 11:30 and the meeting will start at 12:00. Yes, we will be celebrating President’s Day
and we will celebrate WCRW at the same time!!!
County Judge Woody Gossom will be talking with us about the budget cuts in
Austin and how it could affect Wichita County. You do not want to miss this opportunity to hear this important information
and be sure to think about questions you want answered. Bring a friend!!!
